Lorna
Brown (soprano & alto) comes fresh to the Hume from leading
her own "Lorna Brown Quartet", which has been playing round Scotland
since 1998. Lorna also features regularly withThe Black Star Steel Band .
Andy
Mulligan (alto) is probably best known to Scottish audiences for
his jazz tenor playing in bands such as Liquid Jazz. Here he ably demonstrates
his usual virtuosity playing alto in the Hume.
Claire
Hughes (tenor) can be heard regularly around the West of Scotland
playing tenor with the Strathclyde University Big Band.
Jon
Ritchie(baritone and alto) has been playing saxophone and clarinet
for longer than he cares to admit. He was a founder member of the baritone
sax quintet, Baricuda, Obesa Cantavit (a clarinet duo)the clarinet quartet
Chalumeau and the Thistle Quartet. Other bands of the moment include Red Hot Swing and Swing Sensation.
