lorna brownBill Shaw (soprano) A keen educationalist, Bill Shaw has for many years has been involved in intrumental instruction in Scottish schools. A multi-instrumentalist and theatrical performer he regularly appears in pit orchestras thoughout the country and is currently an instrumental instructor with the Glasgow Schools Big Band.

any mulligan alto saxAndy Mulligan (tenor) Despite studying both classical and jazz in the early years, he increasingly developed a love of jazz which has continued to this day. This has led to playing saxophone in a variety of jazz groups over the years which have included The Strathclyde Arts Centre Big Band and Workshop ), The National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland, Disband, Straight No Chicken, The Glasgow University Big Band, That Swing Sensation., the Cosmopolitan Big Band and of course The Hume Saxophone Quartet.

jon ritchie baritone saxJon Ritchie (baritone) has been playing saxophone and clarinet for longer than he cares to admit. Outwith The Hume, musical ensembles include the baritone sax quintet, Baricuda, Obesa Cantavit (a clarinet duo) the clarinet quartet Chalumeau and the Thistle Quartet. Larger groups include Red Hot Swing, the Capitol Big Band and That Swing Sensation.
